Scarcity

It is the year 2050, human productivity increases have been at record high for the last 2.5 decades because we have AI that has gone from thinking to acting.

With 2 million embodied AIs, humanity has successfully developed AI from only reading about the Sistine Chapel to interacting with reality. AI is now standing under and experiencing those frescoes. The AIs that were built during the massive data center build-outs in the 2020s are now confined to a niche where data scarcity is not a concern. It is the newer and more agile ‘Lean AI’ models that are plowing fields and helping humanity settle on Mars. This was only possible because humanity realised that AI trained in the paradigm of data abundance and energy gluttony will never make machine intelligences robust enough to deal with the only constant in nature; change. We needed AI models that thrived in data scarcity, limited compute and heterogenous local reactance. This reality was enabled by great innovation in hardware and new model architectures but were linked together by one company: Phasor.

Phasor built the training infrastructure/gym for this next generation of AI hardware and models. They enabled training on emerging hardware by creating the datasets and pipelines. Their platform connects Lean AI model developers with startups building neuromorphic, analog, and asynchronous chips — providing training pipelines for developers and benchmark/diagnostic data for chip makers. 

They are the first platform that next-gen chip manufacturers who wanted their chips to be tested and exposed to data-efficient model developers could go to. By gathering a critical mass of chip manufacturers, they could benchmark with essentially an exhaustive list of all other manufacturers which provided them with diagnostics on how to improve their chips.

On the flip side, they are the go to platform for Lean AI model developers in the development process of their models for access to neuromorphic or analog data and to compute to train/test with their host of once-specialty-now-mainstream hardware partners.
